The ASCENT system:
A structured approach to building a body that holds up over time.
At ASCENT, we look at physical function and capacity as more than just chasing aches and pains.
We do not start with generic treatment plans or high-volume visits.
We start by understanding how your body moves, what it can currently tolerate, and where it needs to progress to support your goals.
From there, we build a plan that is specific to you—so you are not limited by what is considered average for your age.
Our process
-
Assess
Understand how your body moves, what it can currently tolerate, and what matters for your goals.
-
Define
Identify what is actually limiting your function and where your capacity falls short of your demands.
-
Build
Develop a targeted plan using the right tools to improve function, capacity, and performance.
-
Progress
Reassess, adapt, and continue building toward a capacity that excels over time.
1. Start with a comprehensive assessment
Every patient begins with a 90-minute Initial Performance Assessment.
This is where we do the real work of understanding your situation.
We assess:
Injury history and current symptoms
Recurring patterns
Training, activity, and lifestyle demands
Movement quality and physical capacity
What you want your body to be capable of over the next month, year, and decade
This is where we determine what matters—and what the right next step should be.
2. Assess to understand the real problem
Most people know what they feel: pain, stiffness, fatigue, or reduced performance.
Fewer people understand why it keeps happening.
We identify:
What your body is currently capable of
What is limiting your function
Where the mismatch exists between your capacity and your demands
Most people operate below their true capacity—and gradually adjust their expectations over time.
We do not.
3. Build your plan
Your plan is built around your needs, not a preset formula.
This may include:
Hands-on treatment
Rehabilitation and movement retraining
Strength and conditioning planning
Training or load modification
Recovery, sleep, and lifestyle adjustments
Performance or health testing when appropriate
The goal is simple: use the right tools for the right problem.
4. Progress with purpose
Care does not continue by default.
We reassess, track progress, and adjust the plan based on how your body responds.
The goal is not just to be injury-free.
It is to build a level of function and capacity that holds up over time.
For some, that means returning to baseline.
For others, it means building well beyond it.
Ongoing care is only used when there is a clear objective, direction, and measurable goal.
Most people operate below their true capacity
and adjust their expectations over time.
We take a different approach.
Who This Is For
ASCENT is designed for people who expect more from their body over time.
This may be a good fit if you:
Do not want to accept a steady decline in how your body feels and performs
Are dealing with a recurring issue that has not resolved
Care about long-term performance, health, or longevity
Value clear reasoning and a structured plan
Are willing to take an active role in your health
It may not be the right fit if you:
Are looking for only passive treatment.
Only want treatment without broader assessment.
Are not interested in long-term progression.
Do not want to take a comprehensive approach to health and wellness.
Care at Ascent is never generic.
Some people need a single focused visit, others need an ongoing plan built around long-term goals. Exactly how that's structured is something we're still finalizing as Ascent comes together — but the standard won't change: a plan built around your body, not a protocol pulled off a shelf.
Curious how this would work for you?
Ascent isn't open yet, so there's nothing to book and nothing to apply for right now. The best way to stay close to how this develops — including when assessments open up — is to join the mailing list.
